Synopsis for The Wretched Divine:

Aurelie Chantelune was born to serve. Raised as a knight in a kingdom ravaged by demons, she's spent her life honing her blade, driven by the memory of the monsters who tore her family apart and by the knowledge that she's one of the few who can stop them.

If Aurelie can claim her first kill, she'll inherit a legacy passed down through the Chantelune a soulbond with Yuriel, an angel whose power is vital to her kingdom's survival. But when those she loves begin turning into the very monsters she's sworn to destroy, Aurelie is forced to seek help from the last place she ever imagined. Desperate, she forges a second and far more dangerous bond with Severin, a demon she can hardly trust, but who claims to know how to end the war for good.

With their lives and fates entwined, Aurelie, Yuriel, and Severin must team up to hunt down a cure capable of turning demons back into humans. But the more they learn about one another and the deeper their relationships grow, the more Aurelie begins to question the war and her place in it. With both of her bonded on opposing sides, she'll have to make a continue to stand with the angels, or risk everything by trusting a demon.

Hello my loves! As we start to reckon with the conclusion of the year, we also get to dream about how much better 2026 is going to be - especially here on my Bindery! It's taken me a bit to get going, but I'm working on the research for my first longform video (which I'll introduce soon!) as well as bolstering other Bindery content.

It's time to announce our Book Club! 🎉 We'll be doing one book a month to start (so no matter how fast you read, you can join us!)

How will this work?
Once we decide on a title (vote below!), I'll create a graphic breaking down when we'll be reading each chapter! For your best experience, you can join the Discord server linked above, though there's no pressure to do so. I'll film reactionary/ rant videos each month to go over what we've read, and anyone along on the journey can interact there.

What if I've already read the book you choose?
That's totally okay! If you find that you have already read the book we pick for book club, feel free to wait for the next read, or reread! You can be our wise guide on the story's journey.

What happens at the end of the read?
For Everyone:
We'll chat on Discord each month and then wrap it all up there at the conclusion of the read! Bring along your hot takes and we'll have some fun!
For Insiders:
My current plan is to do some kind of live event at the conclusion of our read, and I'll bring my Sommelier / Bartender skills along for the ride, pairing a wine and creating a custom mocktail/ cocktail curated for my Inkspoken Insiders that you can make for the (digital) party!

The live event might be an Instagram live, but I'm exploring other ideas as well. If you don't finish the book, or don't want to take part, that's okay! (only Insiders will have access to the Live)

Exclusive Must Love Books @Bookstr "Un-Cut" Video
Exclusive Must Love Books @Bookstr "Un-Cut" Video

A few weeks ago I did a video for Bookstr's "Must Love Books" project. I was so thrilled to get to work with them again, after being one of their Bookstagrammers of the Week back in January. The interview you'll see over on their Instagram is cut to about 3 minutes for brevity, but the original was closer to 6 so I thought, why waste the effort? Here's the 'un-cut' video (I did trim the silences a bit, which is why I have the '' around un-cut. I hope you like it! Here's the questions they asked me in order (paraphrased a bit for you): 1) Why do you read? 2) What’s your favorite reading spot? 3) If you could have your memory erased and read one book all over again, which would it be and why? 4) What’s the book that had you fall in love with reading? 5) What is your favorite genre and what book would you recommend?
